Young Creative Thread is a Jajex Apparel-sponsored initiative giving young people aged 12–18 the opportunity to explore creativity through practical fashion experience.
Through hands-on sessions, participants can develop practical experience in areas such as sewing, design, garment construction, fabric handling and creative problem-solving.
Young Creative Thread gives young people space to create, learn and discover what they are capable of. Practical learning can help build confidence, patience, creativity, problem-solving skills and real-world experience. The programme is held three times a year .During Spring, Summer and During Autumn Edition
We want creativity to become a pathway to possibility. By giving young people practical exposure to fashion and making, Young Creative Thread aims to help participants recognise their abilities and imagine where those abilities could take them.
Because the programme works with young people aged 12–18, participation is subject to appropriate safeguarding procedures. Parent or guardian consent will be required where appropriate. Specific session details, supervision arrangements and participation requirements should be provided before registration is confirmed.
